The e-Registration application is a piece of software designed for use at entrances of privately accessible facilities. It allows visitor registration by collecting guest details including image capture, and issuing RFID security passes for them. These RFID passes can be used for a variety of hardware including but not limited to turnstiles, toll gates, and guardhouses. The movement of each card can be monitored real-time in order to determine where a certain cardholder is, and this information can even be forwarded to certain users of the system. One use case for e-Registration is at expos, where guests get their IDs at the reception, and then get their RFIDs can be scanned by the booths inside–your booth exhibitors will never need to collect business cards again. But this application is so versatile, it can also be used at schools, where student movement in and out of school grounds can send an immediate online notification to school faculty or even directly to their parents via SMS for safety and security purposes.
